

Ahilya Pusalkar is a law clerk with the Law Offices of Spar & Bernstein. She is originally from India, where she practiced as an attorney in family and civil litigation, handling divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and mediation matters. Her prior legal practice provided her with substantial courtroom exposure and a strong foundation in client advocacy and dispute resolution.
Ms. Pusalkar later relocated to the United States to pursue her Juris Doctor degree. She also earned an LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law in Los Angeles. During her time at Pepperdine, she interned with the Jewish Divorce Assistance Center through the Faith and Family Law Clinic and was a finalist in the Second Annual Mediation Competition hosted by the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.
Since 2022, Ms. Pusalkar has worked as an immigration law clerk in New York City, gaining hands-on experience in asylum, VAWA, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, and Adjustment of Status matters. In her role, she assists attorneys with case preparation, drafting, filings, and client communication across all stages of the immigration process.
Fluent in five languages, Ms. Pusalkar works effectively with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. She brings a highly analytical approach to her work and is particularly drawn to the problem-solving aspects of legal practice.
