James Horning

Associate Attorney

James R. Horning is an associate attorney at Spar & Bernstein, P.C. Mr. Horning represents clients with various family-based and business immigration petitions with the USCIS and appears before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).

Before joining the firm, Mr. Horning worked as an associate attorney in New Jersey at a high-volume-based law firm practicing immigration law. Mr. Horning also worked as a Judicial Law Clerk to Presiding Judge Deborah J. Venezia, P.J.F.P., in the Superior Court of Middlesex County, NJ, and subsequently, as a per diem attorney at the Office of the Public Defender in the Trial Region in Middlesex County, NJ, representing clients in all stages of their criminal proceedings.

Mr. Horning graduated from Syracuse Law School back in 2021, where he received a Juris Doctor degree. Mr. Horning also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of History from Montclair State University. Mr. Horning is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
